8U Development – Boys/Girls ’11,’12’13

Program Details:

Lead by RISE Hockey, this program is designed for developing and advanced players, male & female.  Following the key principles of the Fundamentals and Learn to Play stages within Hockey Canada’s Long-Term Player Development Model, players will focus on specialized skill development, refinement of core skills including skating, and essential intangibles.  In addition to technical skills, RISE Hockey focuses on foundations of good character and having fun! Casual goaltending offered for players wishing to sample during various sessions or drills.

  • All sessions within a state-of-the-art facility; Seven Oaks Sportsplex (Blue Rink)

  • Players currently or nearing Novice hockey born 2011, 2012, 2013

  • 12 On-Ice Sessions, grouped by age/ability

  • Station-based sessions with skills and small-area competitive games

  • Includes RISE Sport Test development testing session and one Prep 3vs3 session

  • Private 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 on-ice coaching sessions available with RISE Hockey (Spring/Summer)

  • Semi-Private and Private NRG Training options available, please inquire

Pre-Season Youth Camp – August 19-23

Dates: August 19th-23rd 

Cost: $449+gst

 For hockey players ages 6-11 years old (DOB – 2008-2013)

Program Description – Lead by RISE Hockey, NRG’s Pre-Season Hockey Camp located at the Seven Oaks Sportsplex will allow players to get the edge over their competition just before tryouts. This comprehensive camp combines professional coaching emphasizing biomechanical correction, sports specific movements / energy systems, and body maintenance. Each day the athletes will arrive to the training facility excited to train with NRG’s professionals both on and off ice.

Dates: August 19-23, 2019

The NRG on-ice program will consist of edge work, power skating techniques, shooting, passing, stick handling and small area games.

Program Includes: 

– 10 hours On Ice Development 

– 5 hours NRG Fitness/Dryland sessions 

– 5 hours sport activities – multi-sport sessions 

– 5 hours of educational and recovery sessions 

– 5 hours lunch and snack time 

Daily Camp Schedules to be released closer to start of the camp 

**Please note camp drop off time will be at 8:30am and pick up time will be between 4:15-4:45pm

**NRG will be running a total of 3 groups, coordinated by age/ability
