Program Details:

Vigier Hockey will break down your technical abilities and look at enhancing your game with new techniques to maximize your ability for game situations. Constant feedback to make sure you are growing your game will take your confidence to new heights. Vigier Hockey will make sure you are ready for the upcoming season!

The NRG off-ice program will be designed for the individual athlete, focusing upon; speed-agility-quickness training, power, conditioning, mobility, activation and recovery tactics.

  • All sessions within a state-of-the-art facility; Seven Oaks Sportsplex

  • AAA/Prep players, first-year junior

  • 15 On-Ice sessions, includes 13 skills sessions

  • 28 Off-Ice NRG training sessions

  • Private & Semi-Private on-ice coaching sessions available

  • Semi-Private and Private NRG Training options available April – June, please inquire

About Vigier Hockey:

Personally mentored by Jean-Pierre, the Vigier Hockey staff share a passion to empower players from varying levels to be the best they can be. Vigier Hockey staff come from different playing experiences including Professional, Semi-Pro, NCAA, and Junior hockey. Jean-Pierre Vigier brings his vast professional playing experience with over 200 NHL games, AHL, IHL, NCAA, Swiss-A and incorporates this body of work into high performance training for local players on the ice.

Vigier has supported various Hockey Manitoba development and mentorship programs along with other minor hockey associations. He has also completed the Hockey Canada Skills Coach certification program, which is an application-based program with limited entry annually.

Jr.A/WHL/College/Pro – High Performance

High Performance Male Hockey Program Details:

NRG’s High Performance Hockey Programs are designed with the main goal of improving the individual skill set of the athlete. These programs are geared towards players that want to commit to developing and getting bigger, faster and stronger for the fall. The programs include both an on-ice and off-ice component. The on-ice sessions will focus on specialized skill development and technical breakdown of power skating, shooting, puck control and much more. The off-ice work will be designed for the individual athlete, focusing upon sport specific work out programs, speed-agility-quickness training, power, conditioning, mobility, activation and recovery tactics. Customized nutritional plans available upon request at an additional charge.

Junior A/WHL/College Program

  • Designed for players playing Pro, WHL, College or Junior A hockey

  • Schedule and dates to be determined by our Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

  • Pro-rated costs available depending on the athletes needs and off-season schedule

  • Program costs based on total number of weeks attended.

  • Program will be offered May 1st – middle of August 2019

12U Advanced – Boys ’07,’08

Program Details:

Lead by RISE Hockey, this development program is designed for advanced players competing at, or entering, the Peewee AA level.  Following the key principles of the Learn to Train stage within Hockey Canada’s Long-Term Player Development Model, players will focus on specialized skill development, refinement of core skills, and essential intangibles for elite players.  In addition to technical skills, RISE Hockey focuses on character and leadership development critical for a team/group setting.

The NRG off-ice program will be designed for the individual athlete, focusing upon; speed-agility-quickness training, power, conditioning, mobility, activation and recovery tactics. Also includes speed development sessions with renowned sprint coach Glenn Bruce.

  • All sessions within a state-of-the-art facility; Seven Oaks Sportsplex

  • ’07 AA players   |   ’07,’08 A1 players

  • 13 On-Ice Sessions, grouped by age/ability

  • 12 Off-Ice NRG training sessions

  • Includes speed development sessions with sprint coach Glenn Bruce, NRG gym sessions
  • All players provided an evaluation report entering the season developed by credible scouting staff and experienced evaluation staff
  • Includes RISE Sport Test development testing session

  • Private 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 on-ice coaching sessions available with RISE Hockey (Spring/Summer)

  • RISE Hockey Draft-Track Development program available for elite ’07 players, please inquire
